Doug Kirkorian, sports writer for the Press Telegram, wants to save the PAL Gyms.  He thinks we should cut the salaries of the city staff to make it work. He says 600 people on staff make more than $100,000 per year. The problem is not just how much they make, but how much their pensions are.  I would love to retire with a full salary pension too. If you haven't tried it before, you might check out Yelp.com. It's a great site to use for discovering new restaurants, etc. in your neighborhood, and is even better to refer to when you travel. I was recently in Las Vegas for a conference and used Yelp to find a couple of great off-the-strip restaurants that I would have never known about. Let me know what you think!
