If you haven't tried it before, you might check out Yelp.com. It's a great site to use for discovering new restaurants, etc. in your neighborhood, and is even better to refer to when you travel. I was recently in Las Vegas for a conference and used Yelp to find a couple of great off-the-strip restaurants that I would have never known about. Let me know what you think!
